Job Overview


We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our Domiciliary Team. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the Quality of Life for those they care for. Applicants must be drivers that hold a current driving licence & have access to a vehicle.

  • 16-30 hours per week with flexibility.

  • Gloucester, Cheltenham and surrounding areas.

  • £12.30-£13.30 hourly, paid mileage.


Principal Responsibilities

  • To assist Service Users with all their personal care needs including undressing, washing, bathing and toileting needs.

  • To assist Service Users with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including incontinence and help in the use and care of aids and personal equipment.

  • To make and change the bedding and all minimal domestic tasks within the household.

  • To read and write reports and take part in staff and service user’s meetings and in training activities as directed.

  • To comply with the organisation’s policies and procedures, which includes the service user's Care Plan and medication needs.

  • To report to the Registered Manager any significant changes in their health or circumstances of the service users.

  • To encourage, enable and assist service users to maintain on a day-to-day basis to remain as independent as possible.

  • To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Keen and flexible approach

  • This role involves working closely with clients in a home care environment

  • Up to date DBS Certificate

  • A driving licence & access to a vehicle

  • Up to date training/care certificates

  • At least 6 months experience in care in the UK

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills

  • Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude at all times

  • A responsible, dedicated, and flexible approach to your work

  • Ability to work independently/lone working as well as part of a team

  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality care

  • Can work flexible hours


All roles are subject to Proof of Eligibility to work in the UK, satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check. Previous Care Experience and Qualifications are highly desirable, willing to undertake further Mandatory Training and Care Certificates.
