Position:  Customer Service Advisor and Marketing Assistant

Swindon SN5 8YZ

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm with additional Sick and Holiday cover (+ a minimum of 2 Saturdays per month)

Salary: £20-22k

Job Specification:

We are recruiting for a Swindon based self-storage and office rentals company in Swindon, Wiltshire. They offer up to date security procedures and systems to ensure the tenants receive optimum service at competitive rates.

Customer Service Advisor and Marketing Assistant

This position would ideally suit a candidate with excellent communication skills and the ability to converse well with customers and members of the public.

Experience in retail, customer service, working in an office environment, using Microsoft Office, taking orders, handling money, stock taking, using social media and good general IT skills would be a great advantage. Training can also be given where necessary.

Duties entail supporting the Manager and Team with the following:

  • Customer daily transactions, i.e., cash, cheque, and credit/debit card transactions.
  • Management of diary dates, contracts, and reservations, etc.
  • Providing quotations for vacant office suites and reporting to the Manager.
  • Conducting viewings on either self-storage, office suites or industrial units.
  • Generating, assisting, and completing Marketing projects for business promotion.
  • Stock Take and ordering of stock and office consumables.
  • Analysis of customer accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Analysis and reporting of sales/reservations/revenue on a daily & weekly basis.
  • Additional reception duties as and where required i.e., filing, photocopying, etc.
  • Supervision of the facility where lone working.
  • Assisting in organising campaigns and developing marketing strategies.
  • Support co-workers in organising various projects.
  • Conduct market research and analyse consumer rating reports/questionnaires.
  • Update Spreadsheets, databases, and inventories with statistical, financial, and non-financial information.
  • Assist in the organising of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success.
  • Prepare and deliver promotional presentations.
  • Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts.
  • Write marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc) to increase the company’s presence in the market.
  • Communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships.
  • Marketing Assistant responsibilities include assisting in organizing campaigns and developing marketing strategies.
